Sample Lesson #1: Attributes - Triangles and Quadrilaterals - The objectives of this lesson include: 1.) Students will construct and sort triangles and quadrilaterals based on attributes. 2.) Students will discuss and compare their sort and use attributes to classify and name triangles and quadrilaterals. The construction activity in this lesson allows students to use straight edges to construct triangles and quadrilaterals, giving them an opportunity to develop the mathematical practice of using appropriate tools strategically. CCSS Alignment: 2.G.1
Sample Lesson #2: Water Cycle Digital Story Telling - The objectives of this lesson include: - 1). By the end of the first lesson, students will be able to correctly sequence the four stages of the water cycle using sequence cards to make a water cycle wheel. 2). By the end of the second lesson, students will be able to correctly use 5 out of 6 vocabulary words associated with the water cycle. 3). By the end of the third lesson, students will be able to write a narrative story with a beginning middle and end following a drop of water through the water cycle. 4. By the end of the fourth lesson, students will be able to use the digital software Pixie to illustrate and publish their narrative writing).
